Less than a year ago Citizen Action founded the innovative member-owned Organizing Cooperative in Southeastern Wisconsin, and already the idea is spreading to new campaigns and new cities. We are now proud to say the Western Wisconsin now has their OWN member-owned Organizing Cooperative!
What happens now? How will we elected leaders and act on issues? Join this E-meeting either by phone or your computer (At either 2pm OR 6pm, click here for the other time) to hear the next steps for the Western Wisconsin Organizing Cooperative! We will set up an in-person meeting soon, but because our new member-owners are spread out in different counties we wanted to start with a call/webinar so anyone can join!
You can join by phone or by computer with Citizen Action Organizing Director Kevin Kane and the Western Wisconsin Co-op Organizer Jeff Smith to discuss how we all succeeded in creating the second ever Organizing Cooperative!
Who should join?
- Anyone interested in how the new co-op will vote for their 15 member steering committee (it will be online leading up to April 7th)
- Anyone who is considering running to be one of the 15 steering committee members of the Western Wisc Organizing Cooperative
- Anyone who has heard about the Organizing Cooperative idea and wants to learn more about how it works!
- Anyone with questions about what comes next
This conference call/webinar will occur at 2pm and again at 6pm, and we will put highlights from the call out via email for everyone who RSVPs even if they cannot join. (Click here to RSVP for the 6pm call)
You will receive the call-in number and webinar link via email after RSVPing. After RSVPing you will be redirected to the member contribution page for those that have pledged to join but not yet made their contribution!
