It is ridiculous to force low income families to pay anything extra to sway a political argument in a certain direction. The new affordable care act will work best if everyone is cooperating by using it as it was designed.

For working people who simply do not make enough money to afford health insurance, Badgercare is the only, albeit a good, option. Why attack the working poor? Look at the numbers— and don’t let this divide us any further.

Because it its the right thing to do think about the children and older people that won’t be able to go to the doctor AND think about the money saved with people going to the emergency room instead

I believe that we should accept federal funding for BadgerCare because not all working people have health care coverage. In addition, it’s not as if the money that Walker thinks that he is “saving” will be returned to taxpayers. On the contrary, it will just go to other states.

Scott Walker believed the ACA would be repealed, so he didn’t lift a finger to help Wisconsinites. Now he’s just being a stubborn fool.

Accepting federal funds for expanding BadgerCare will avoid more costly emergency room visits and help help hospitals and clinics stay open and ready for true emergencies. Many health care workers in north central Wisconsin have been laid off because those without insurance are not coming in for preventive and follow-up care. They need their jobs, and no one needs the higher health care costs that come from delaying medical care to the point that it costs more! Quality health insurance is needed for everyone

I am a working mom, going to school and was cut from badger care after WI rejected fed funds. I couldn’t afford to pay hundreds of dollars a month for my employers (a hospital’s) health insurance plans.

It would help a lot of people and that helps the whole state. Plus it doesn’t cost us anything. We would be getting Federal funds to Badger Care. It’s a no brainer, of course we should accept the money.

There are so many who need Badger Care. The funds would cover the cost of health care inmeasrably.

Uninsured people cost our State and Counties a lot of money. Why place the extra financial burden on our local agencies?

To help single parents, the indigent, the unemployed. I just think that in this day and age, no family should be poor, homeless, hungry, or without insurance. I believe the rich should be taxed their fair share and the poor should be helped and everybody should at least be in a “comfortable” position. I believe that everyone is entitled to have food, healthcare, dental work and eye glasses if they need them.

Raise minimum wage but not the prices of food, shelter, clothing, insurance or gas, that’s where fair taxing should come into play.

Investing in BadgerCare returns $4 for every dollar spent and creates healthcare jobs, boosting local economies. Investing in BadgerCare also lowers overall healthcare costs to the state because preventative services and early stage diagnoses require less treatment and are therefore less expensive. Accepting federal funds for BadgerCare is fiscally responsible and an economically sound decision. It’s also the right thing to do. Wisconsinites deserve expanded access to affordable healthcare.

By not accepting federal funds for Badger Care we are putting Wisconsin behind other states. We are hurting kids, elderly, all people of Wisconsin. We are hurting the economy by not staying competitive.
