This week Dunn County became the 2nd Wisconsin county, after Eau Claire County, to take a big step to call for accepting the federal funds for BadgerCare by introducing a referendum on the November ballot.
Dunn County, population 44,072, will have a chance to decide whether Wisconsin should accept the roughly $1 million currently being left on the table per day to cover 84,700 residents. 657 Dunn County residents would gain access to BadgerCare if the state took the federal funds.
We believe more localities should allow their citizens to decide for themselves their support for issues like this. Sign up to help us promote citizens getting a say on the issue of accepting federal funds for BadgerCare!
