Today is Giving Tuesday, the national day we put aside commercialism and consumerism and recognize the work of nonprofit organizations.
We here at Citizen Action have done a lot this year to advance progressive values in Wisconsin, so this Giving Tuesday, I’m asking for your support.
2014 was a big year for Citizen Action. Here’s a quick snapshot of what supporters like you helped us accomplish:
Successfully passed 20 historic referendums by 73% demanding Wisconsin accept federal funds for BadgerCare
Successfully placed 8 of the 13 minimum wage referendums on the ballot, which passed with 67% of the vote.
Put progressive issues front and center in the press with over 780 media appearances (and still counting!)
Framed the public debate on issues like health care and corruption at WEDC through cutting edge research reports cited widely in policy discussions
Strategic community organizing campaigns across Wisconsin that have given a voice to hundreds of new progressive activists
and so much more…
We’re proud of our victories this year, but you and I know just how much work lies ahead of us. Make a tax-deductible gift today to ensure we’re ready for 2015.
Scott Walker may be running for president, but that’s not going to prevent him and his Tea Party allies from trying to inflict more damage on Wisconsin. Our children’s schools, health care security for families, workers rights on the job, a fair tax system...all are being targeted.
Progressives like you and I are not the type to back down when our values are under attack. With your support today, you’re putting Citizen Action in the strongest position possible to hit the ground running in 2015 to fight back against the right-wing and hold these extreme conservatives accountable.
Make your end of the year tax-deductible gift today and ensure we have the resources to fight Scott Walker and the radical right in 2015, and continue being the progressive voice standing up for Wisconsin values.
