Headed into Labor Day, local residents show the increased purchasing power of a $10.10 minimum wage
Today Fox Valley area residents and Citizen Action of Wisconsin held a media event urging support for a $10.10 minimum wage. Local residents encouraged Congressman Reid Ribble to support a minimum wage to boost the struggling Fox Valley economy.
A full time wage of $10.10 an hour would put $114 more per week in the pockets of local workers and consumers. Participants showcased this additional weekly purchasing power with $114 worth of groceries.
