Fox Valley Residents to Denounce Political Attempts to Quash Healthcare Dream

On the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s famous speech, Fox Valley residents count down to their dream of better healthcare, call out attacks on Obamacare

At a media event today at 12:15 PM, Citizen Action of Wisconsin, Organizing for Action, and Protect Your Care will echo Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s famous line: "Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane”. Local residents with real health conditions will share their experiences and demand an end to politically motivated efforts to sabotage the new law.

It is now 3½ years since the passage of the Affordable Care Act. Yet, politically motivated efforts continue in Congress and Madison to deny Wisconsin consumers access to healthcare. Instead of focusing on implementing and improving the new healthcare law, Representative Reid Ribble has chosen to vote more than 40 times to repeal the law. Thursday, consumers will echo Dr. King’s words in calling for an end to political obstructionism and allow citizens access to affordable healthcare.
