Bill to Strengthen BadgerCare to be unveiled Tuesday
Proposal closes coverage gap, saves the state millions, creates jobs
Madison—A bill to repair some of the harm that was done to Wisconsin’s middle-class families in the last state budget will be unveiled Tuesday at the State Capitol by Rep. Jon Richards, Sen. Jon Erpenbach, uninsured families, a physician, health care advocates and other state lawmakers.
The Strengthen BadgerCare Act would capitalize on federal financing that’s now available to extend health coverage to the uninsured, save taxpayers money, help create jobs and lower taxes on Wisconsin employers.
