Legislative Briefing on High Healthcare Costs

On November 1st, 2015 the 3rd open enrollment at Healthcare.gov will begin, as thousands of consumers from across the state sign up to enroll in or renew their insurance plan.

Yet there is still much to do. Healthcare costs are still high and thousands remain uninsured. Which is why Citizen Action of Wisconsin will hold a presentation at the State Capitol for Legislators and staff, open to the public, on what can and should be done to guarantee quality affordable health coverage for everyone.

Can Wisconsin challenge high health costs? Why is it more expensive in Wisconsin compared to states like Minnesota? Why is Madison the most affordable metro in the state? Learn this and more.

Dr Robert Kraig and Kevin Kane will share the latest info from researchers and policy analysts on insurance costs across the state, local uninsured rates, prescription drugs, and propose clear common sense steps policymakers can take to have immediate measurable impact on consumers statewide.
