On September 24th, we filed over 100 minimum wage complaints with Governor Scott Walker and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development demonstrating that Wisconsin's $7.25 an hour minimum wage is not a "living wage," as defined by Wisconsin state law. A little less than two weeks later, we received word from the Governor and DWD that they found no reasonable cause to raise the minimum wage.
It's time Wisconsin elect a Governor who will put working families first.
Join Raise Wisconsin on October 14th at 5pm on the State Capitol steps in Madison when we tell Governor Walker that it's time to give Wisconsin workers a raise!
