Next Stage of Health Reform: Get On Board

Affordable Care Act gives states the ability to create completely new health coverage systems.

Did you want a public option? We can do that. Want universal health coverage in Wisconsin that guarantees health care for all? We can do that too. Think insurance companies and drug companies have too much power to nickel and dime us? We can use our state’s power to even the scales.

Citizen Action of Wisconsin has a 10 year strategy to completely revamp the healthcare system, make Wisconsin a national leader again, and guarantee that everyone has high quality and truly affordable health coverage, no matter what. Are you on board? Add your name here.

The cost of insurance even on Obama Care is excessive. Many have to make the choice to get insurance or have a home and put food on the table. Walker’s refusal to take Federal money has hurt the poor and middle class, in fact anyone who is purchasing insurance has to pay a higher cost because of his insane tactics. Walker is bad for Wisconsin and he will be bad for any agency he is working for when it comes to government. Walker needs to live within his means, he is now collecting a salary from WEDC and as governor and also on the retirement plan for both. What a lot of nerve this idiot has.

A single payor system with oversight would be accessible to all citizens without respect to level of income or employment.

Reduce the profit motive in healthcare to whatever extent possible and let people who intend to SERVE others the opportunity to do so.

We need universal Health Care. Expanding the Medicare system is one way to do this.

We need HEALTH care; now, with fee-for-service, we have a sick-care system which only helps a person if they are ill, but fails to encourage health. It costs twice as much as any other country’s system, and kills more people. Some people get no care at all, and just die! There are people diagnosed with fatal illnesses who just suffer, then die. Unbelievable! Who ever heard of something so callous?

We need single-payer, and the ability to negotiate the best prices with drug companies. Hospitals need to have clear information on bills and have to give an estimate of out-of-pocket costs for procedures before they are done; and be banned from charging excessive fees for common items like aspirin and bandages.
