- 6 co-op members helped canvass the Merrill Park neighborhood in Milwaukee to invite parents and children to attend
The Youth Opportunity Team met numerous times, starting in September of 2015, and is interested in a number of issues, including youth poverty, the privatization of public education, youth health issues (such as child nutrition and substance use prevention), youth jobs, gun violence and more. The problems facing our youth are vast and complex, and it has been a challenge for this group to narrow in on one issue and develop an issue campaign that will have a big impact. There is still interest amongst members to continue working on one or more of of these issues, but a team leader has not come forward. Team meetings are currently suspended.
