Happy Labor Day Weekend: Attend a Labor Day event near you!

On Labor Day, we recognize and honor the achievements of all of America’s working people.Celebrate with your union brothers and sisters and community members around the state as we honor all who labor.

This weekend take some time to attend a Labor Day event in your community. There are events throughout the state, including in Milwaukee, Wausau, Eau Claire, Fox Valley and Green Bay.

Citizen Action and Tony Evers hold health care media event

This week Citizen Action joined with Democratic governor candidate Tony Evers to put a spotlight on Gov. Walker 8 years of sabotaging access to healthcare. The event was at a health clinic in Milwaukee where they have seen a rise in patients as a result of Walker’s  and the GOP’s relentless attacks on the Affordable care Act. There was a large media turnout for the event.

Evers committed to accept the federal Medicaid money on his first day as governor and will work to expand BadgerCare through a public option on the healthcare marketplace. Evers’s first TV ad, which began this week, focuses on Walker’s horrendous healthcare record.
