Citizen Action hits the doors for members running for office
With Labor Day long gone, the fall general election is heating up with only 2 months left until Election Day on November 6th. Last weekend Citizen Action members started hitting the doors in support of Organizing Cooperative members who are running for State Legislature. In Milwaukee members were out helping Emily Siegrist and Julie Henszey. This weekend it’s time for you get out and help a member with doors or phone calls. See full schedule of volunteer opportunities at the end of the Weekly.
North Central Organizing Co-op members join People’s Climate March in Minocqua
David Barnhill, who is a member of the Citizen Action North Central Organizing Co-op, worked with others (including Our Wisconsin Revolution and Citizens’ Climate Lobby) to organize a People’s Climate March in Minocqua last Saturday. The North Central Organizing Co-op was a proud sponsor of this march. Protecting the environment for future generations and working toward a 100% just climate economy is one of the top issues that our members care about, and we hope to be more involved in this fight moving forward. It all starts with who we elect to office this November!
