Citizen Action launches new radio and digital ads in support of expanding BadgerCare!
Citizen Action is turning up the public heat on the Republican legislators who are standing in the way of Governor Evers’ plan to expand BadgerCare to 83,000 working people. To intensify the impact of our grassroots organizing, Citizen Action launched a statewide radio and digital ad campaign this week.

North Central Co-op set to celebrate 2 year Anniversary
The North Central Organizing Co-op is 2 years old. We want to celebrate! We will be meeting in Wausau, next Tuesday, March 26th at the First Universalist Unitarian Church, 504 Grant Street, Wausau, at 6 pm. We will celebrate our 2 year milestone with members. But, before we celebrate, we will have the privilege of watch via video conference State Rep. Katrina Shankland speaking to Co-op members and allies in Wisconsin Rapids. There, they will be having a planning meeting, to advance Medicaid Expansion in Wisconsin, and we will be able to see the opening of their meeting online! Read More
Rural America is in crisis. Farmers are overwhelmed by unrelenting low prices and loss of critical foreign markets (Trump’s trade wars). South Dakota GOP Governor Kristi Noem said: “South Dakota has been devastated by the trade wars … .” She stressed “sustained low commodity prices” and the impact on farmers and main street businesses (Politico). Same for Wisconsin. The state has lost over 700 dairy farms. UW-Madison economics professor Steven Deller emphasized that Wisconsin farmers are running up debt and had a “17.8 percent decline in farm income last year” (Wisconsin Public Radio).
