Build Power to Win Power in 2022 Tailgate & Fundraiser
Northeast Wisconsin co-op members and supporters, you are invited to our Build Power to Win Power in 2022 Tailgate & Fundraiser! Join us on Saturday, September 25th @10AM at the home of Kristin Lyerly to celebrate our own victories in 2021, our shared commitment to building progressive power, and hopefully a Wisconsin Victory against Notre Dame! Don’t miss out, registration is live!
The event will begin with a tailgate at 10 AM with refreshments being provided by Minocqua Brewing Company. Our host has been gracious enough to open their backyard to us, we will be requiring that all attendees show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 upon arrival.

Take Action: Lobby For Fair Maps!
On Monday, September 27th, fair maps supporters from around the state will gather virtually to meet with our legislators and advocate for fair maps. Our two demands: take up the People’s Maps Commission Maps and pass legislation that fixes the problem of partisan gerrymandering permanently. Please consider attending a training session prior to Monday, September 27th!

Learn About Environmental Justice with the Sierra Club!
From accessibility of public lands to the health impacts of burning fossil fuels, examples of environmental injustice are deeply woven into each of the issues that we organize around.
To examine these connections, several chapters of the Sierra Club in Wisconsin are coming together to organize an Environmental Justice Event Series beginning this fall.
We hope these events can provide an opportunity to explore the inequities rooted within these issues and help shine a light on the critical environmental justice components that exist in our work. Register and find more info here
Support the thousands of Afghan refugees arriving at Fort McCoy in Wisconsin’s Driftless region.
The situation in Afghanistan is dire. Our freedom-seeking, allies, and friends are fleeing after the violent takeover by Taliban forces. They need our support. Several refugees have arrived and are staying at Fort McCoy outside Sparta Wisconsin. A coalition of La Crosse faith groups, progressive organizations, and local veterans are organizing efforts to provide relief and welcome refugees to their new communities.

“Endless War vs Green New Deal” Battleground Wisconsin Podcast
We reflect on the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and the destructive 20-year “war on terror” that ensued. Our panel discusses the cost of the war and the American “police state” that followed. We update the effort in Congress to pass the historic $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation package. We close with Wisconsin’s concerning COVID surge that finds over 1000 people in state hospitals for the first time since January as students head back to school.
