Thanks to everyone who attended Wausau 40th Anniversary Celebration!

ACTION ALERT: Create high-paying green jobs. Lower families’ energy bills. Fight Climate change.

Here’s the deal. You may have heard about President Joe Biden’s federal rebates, which slash the costs of home energy-efficiency upgrades (like new windows or insulation). The goal of the rebate program is to help folks save energy and promote green jobs.

The problem? Not all families can afford the up-front costs, even after the rebates. That’s why the state of Wisconsin was given $75 million to make sure ALL homeowners can take advantage of the federal rebates.

The Public Service Commission is overseeing these funds. We’re asking them to cover home energy upgrade costs at 100% for low income families. They should provide incentives so moderate-income families can use the rebates, too.

Additionally, we are asking them to make this coverage retroactive–so if you made home energy improvements this tax year, you could still qualify for enhanced rebates.
