Volunteer: It’s time to Get out the Vote with Nick Ross!

No matter what we look like, where we come from, or how much money is in our pockets, we know that we all do better when we come together to elect strong progressive leaders. That means volunteering for candidates like Nick Ross (they/them), a strong local public education advocate who will work to prevent state and national legislative attacks on our public education system, including attacks on some of our most vulnerable students and families.

Nick is a graduate of Citizen Action of Wisconsin’s Movement Politics Academy.

Make sure you sign-up to support Nick and make calls with their campaign!

Earth Day 2022: Protect The Future in La Crosse, April 22, 11:30am.

On Earth Day, Citizen Action of Wisconsin will be hosting a rally, press conference, and upcycle clothing exchange in Weigent Park in La Crosse.

Climate activists, elected officials, student leaders, and others will be on hand to remind us that this planet belongs to the future and we must protect the future. We will be discussing local climate actions happening now, future plans, activists fighting against fast fashion and how our educational system can step up and become climate leaders.

We will also be hosting a free up-cycle clothing exchange. Please bring the clothes you are not wearing anymore and check out the great fashion for free. We want to highlight the impact of the fast fashion industry by making sure we work to reduce our own, personal fashion waste.

Please RSVP now to stay up to date on this important day of action.

Listen to “Defending democracy, defeating violence” Battleground Wisconsin Podcast

Speaker Vos is found in contempt of court for failing to turn over records related to his sham 2020 election “investigation.” Will the political boss of the State Assembly comply with the court order to comply with Wisconsin’s open records laws? We have an exclusive interview with Eau Claire school board president Tim Nordin about the right wing attacks on school board members, and the death threat against him that is making national and international news. Claire tells us why COVID boosters were authorized for Americans 50+ while the world continues to wait for a World Trade Organization waiver to allow the production of affordable COVID vaccines. We call out Congressional inaction on expiring Affordable Care Act subsidies that could impact the healthcare of 14 million Americans weeks before the critical November elections. Can the Democrats summon the unity to fulfill their campaign promises to make health care more affordable and to prevent a political catastrophe at the polls? We close discussing Sen. Baldwin’s fight to protect Kohl’s workers from the looming threat of vulture capitalists seeking to dismantle a profitable company.
